The mill does its utmost to enhance quality of its products and services to fully satisfy requirements of our customers. Among recent innovations aimed at bringing the mill’s services to maximum correspondence with international quality standards is installation of the FROMM press strapping of sawn goods’ packages. This allows safer transportation of packages.
By customers’ request, sawn goods can additionally be covered with polyethylene on five sides. Such packing protects them from exposure to adverse influence of ultra-violet rays, atmospheric precipitations, dust, etc.
Sawmill 25 has proved its conformity to phytosanitary requirements of the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No.15 and has been granted the right to mark its products correspondingly.
The mill specialists are licensed to visually grade of the sawn goods by strength and are entitled to mark them according to C16/C24 standards.
Putting into operation WSAB kilns has allowed to do high quality kilning of timber, also down to 12%.
Sawmill 25 is grading timber by dimensions, qualities and lengths with the help of an optical grading system FinScan Boardmaster (Finland). In 2009, to be able to grade timber by strength classed the company purchased a Dynagrade (Sweden-Finland) system which allows
grading by strength classes C16-C30, European Harmonized standard EN 14081:2005.
April 28, 2009, a notified body – BM Trada certifications Ltd. (UK) issued Certificate 1224-CDP-0177 to the company,proving conformity of the sawmill’s quality control system to the standard
requirements. This allows usage of Sawmill 25 timber for production of constructional elements (beams, trusses, glued beams) in EU countries. |
