The building of a pellet plant was influenced by the necessity of utilization of sawdust after launching the CHP plant running on wood waste in 2007.
It allowed to stop burning the sawdust in the CHP and use it instead for production of ecologically green fuel – wood pellets.
The trial run of the pellet plant was made in 2008, and in Apil 2009 the plant was put into operation.
Equipment has been delivered by “Hekotek”, project capacity is 50000 tons of wood pellets per year. The automated system is controlling all the parameters and status of
the main and auxiliary equipment, providing an automatic management of the major technological processes.
The produced pellets meet international standards by all parameters, which allows to export them to Europe.
The project’s implementation has allowed:
- to convert all the sawdust falling from the sawmill
- to produce high quality ecologically green fuel out of sawmilling waste
- to improve the ecological situation in Maimaxa area
- to make, together with CHP, a really waste-free production
